Mein Yeh Hoon
Mein Yeh Hoon, painted with acrylic on a canvas, is a tribute to the athletic talent found in Lyari. This piece highlights the intuitive passion and love for sports embedded in the children of Lyari. Most often overlooked amidst the stigma of violence and terror attached to the most resilient area of Karachi. “Mein Yeh Hoon” illustrates four of DCTO’s sports champions. From left to right: Maaz bin Ali, DCTO football team’s best Forward; Shaista, DCTO’s first female gymnast, Hammad Karim, a passionate boxer, and Anis Gul, gymnast and high-jump champion.
